FASTag is an electronic toll collection system operated by NHAI. It uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology that automatically deducts toll charges when a vehicle passes through a toll plaza. The amount is directly debited from the linked prepaid account, ensuring faster, contactless payments.

• From November 15, 2025, vehicles without an active FASTag will be charged double the applicable toll fee.

You can easily get a FASTag through:

1. Banks (SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, Paytm, etc.)

Documents Required:

• Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)

• ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN, etc.)

• Vehicle owner’s photograph

Once activated, FASTag can be recharged online through UPI, net banking, or wallets.
