To be eligible for the RRC Northern Railway Act Apprentice posts, candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Educational Qualification

• You must have passed the Matriculation (10th Class) examination (under the 10+2 system) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.

• You must possess an ITI Certificate in the relevant trade, issued by a National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) recognized institution.

2. Age Limit (as on December 24, 2025)

• Minimum Age: 15 Years

• Maximum Age: 24 Years

• Age Relaxation is applicable as per Government rules for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen categories.

The selection for these apprenticeship slots is entirely merit-based. There will be no written examination or interview.

1. Merit List: A merit list will be prepared based on the average of the percentage of marks obtained in your 10th Class and the ITI trade examination (giving equal weightage to both).

2. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification.

3. Medical Examination: Final selection is subject to qualifying the prescribed medical fitness test.

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend during their training period as per the Apprentices Act, 1961, and Railway Board guidelines.
