The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is bringing a revolutionary change that will make life easier for crores of salaried employees. Soon, you will be able to withdraw your PF money using UPI and even ATMs. This is one of the biggest reforms in PF withdrawal rules, designed to make access to your hard-earned savings faster and simpler.
Traditionally, PF withdrawals required employees to:
File a claim online through the EPFO portal.
Wait for the amount to be credited to their bank account.
With this upcoming update:
✅ PF withdrawal will be possible through UPI apps (like Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, etc.).
✅ Employees will also get the option to withdraw PF money through ATMs, just like regular bank withdrawals.
Faster Access – No waiting for long processing times.
Convenience – Withdraw money anytime, anywhere.
Emergency Use – Helps employees get funds instantly in urgent situations.
Digital India Push – Aligns with the government’s vision of cashless, tech-enabled services.
Log in to your UPI app.
Select the EPFO withdrawal option (once integrated).
Enter withdrawal amount.
Authenticate using Aadhaar-linked OTP/UPI PIN.
Money will be transferred directly to your account.
Insert EPFO-issued card/linked debit card in ATM.
Select PF Withdrawal option.
Enter required details & authenticate with PIN/OTP.
Withdraw the approved amount immediately.
Aadhaar-PAN-Bank account must be linked with your EPFO account.
Withdrawal rules (like minimum service period for full withdrawal, partial withdrawals for specific reasons) will still apply.
Daily/transaction limits may be introduced for ATM/UPI withdrawals.
